A 37 ans, Michel d’Anastasio, artiste peintre-calligraphe vivant à Paris, réalise un vieux rêve : exposer sur la terre de ses ancêtres.

Le titre franco-maltais de son exposition symbolise les apports culturels des différents peuples qui ont colonisé Malte, mais aussi l’apport de la culture maltaise sur la personnalité de Michel. Au travers des couleurs et des matières, Michel met en lumière d'anciens textes maltais ; une façon pour lui de renouer sur la toile avec l'histoire de ses origines, dont ses parents lui ont tant parlé.

The Franco-Maltese title of his exhibition symbolises the cultures of the different peoples that colonised Malta, but also Malta's own cultural influences on Michel's personality. In terms of the colours and subjects, Michel brings to light many ancient Maltese texts; a way for him to re-associate himself with his origins, of which his parents so often spoke.
